Maison de Rêves
"Maison de Rêves" is a 12x12x1.5 Mixed Media Painting on canvas and the fourth in my Coming Home series.
Welcome to the Maison de Rêves (House of Dreams), set somewhere in a fairy tale French countryside. This sweet stone cottage is surrounded by zinnias, peonies, dahlias and daisies. On the left is a classic French olive tree, sheltering the cottage from the sun. Two benches and a stone walkway welcome visitors to rest and relax. A pair of swallows flies across a silvery moon.
A quote peeks out from the sky's clouds and reminds you that "You are enough, even when you are broken and can't find some of your pieces. You are enough."
Mixed media elements include, handmade mono printed papers, pages from a French romance novel, sheet music, Nepalese handmade paper and other collage papers.
