Moonglow

"Moonglow" is a 12x12x1.5 Mixed Media Painting on canvas inspired by the 1956 top hit song Moonglow by George Cates.  The blue moon casts its glow on this Autumnal scene of wilting, yet still lovely, garden of dahlias, tulips, daisies and a sunflower! I highlighted the seeds and seed pods of these beauties to emphasize the cyclical nature of time. With every end there is a beginning! 

This is the 16th painting in my "Vintage Vinyl" collection of paintings inspired by songs from 1940-1980. Mixed media elements include hand-printed mono prints, pages from a French romance novel, sheet music and a quote that reads, "Find Beauty in Every Day."
